I was able to play 4 more games today, ended +/- 0 again. Unfortunate as both of the games I lost was due to bad beats but sh!t happens I guess. At least I got a tiny bit closer to releasing $1 from the bonus Big Smile At the very least I've determined that I need to play a decent amount of games in one session to make any sort of impact on my bankroll.

@Serpang
Last 6 games or so has been nothing but $4 games but it's not that surprising really, it's all about probability and eventually you'll be able to get a few games with a good prizepool.

I've had a break for a few days now so tonight's gonna be the night when I get back to my winning ways! I was lucky enough to earn $51 instead of $50 from the first deposit promo at ACR so that's good. With that being said, I need to earn a little bit over $10 to be able to cash out.

Also, my economy has taken a huge hit this month due to my insurance company screwing up and forgot to charge me for a change that I made, meaning I'm now getting an extra bill of almost $200. Really bad considering I only have about $280 on my account and I need to survive for 3 weeks until my next salary. Had it only been me it wouldn't have been an issue but I'm also providing for my girlfriend (who I live with), and my 20 month old child as well as a cat and a dog. They all need to be fed and I'm not realy sure how to solve it. I'l have to make due with whatever is in the freezer I guess.

In any case, due to this situation I will maybe have to alter my plan again when it comes to cashing out. I wouldn't like it at all but I might not have a choice. My current plan is everything over $100 on both sites will be cashed out, but depending on how things goes I may need to change that to $50. A drastic change but in order to survive I might not have a choice in the matter unfortunately.

So yeah, I'm hoping to score big and earn a lot of cash these coming days! I'm working from home the coming week as well so I might be able to get some more gameplay in and earn a decent amount!

You have a bit of predicament there but at the end you will be fine i think.
You couldnt do anything else but withdrawing more money, in order to pass the month.
I wouldnt blame you, even if you cashed out all of it for now.
Lets hope you are gonna hit some good wins over the next few days,
with the remaining of your bankroll.
Good luck

If possible you have to play MTT $500 gtd $1or $2 buy in. Normally entries around 300 will takes 7 hours to finish. If no have time, play jackpot carefully with target $10 winning per day, I think you can as long as you can forget your economic problem when play. I can do that 3 days in a row, your ability is better than me, so I am sure you can. Good luck mate Smile

Well, this was one of the absolute most stupid sessions I've ever played. I managed to lose $22!!! Had I won only half of the all-ins that I lost on the river I would have made a profit of at least $10. Not sure how many games I played but I do know that I lost with the better hand to the river about 7 or 8 times. Complete crap day!! So yeah, things are going just great for me lately... The only time that I actually HAVE to catch a break and win something is the only time I can't win anything at all, instead I lose more money then I've done in a single day for over 3 years! How the f*ck am I supposed to make things work when I keep getting all of these moron suck outs all the f*cking time!?

Sorry for the rant but I'm just so frustrated at the moment. And the worse part is that I didn't even play bad, I did in fact play solid poker and 90% of the time I put my chips in when I was ahead. I hate that I can't make anything work at all!! I'm probably gonna call it quits for my poker days if things keep going this way, I'm not emotionally stable enough to handle these things combined with all of my real life stupidity at the moment. But at the same time, I can't afford to let an opportunity to earn money slip away, and since I haven't spent anything to get to this point I haven't really lose anything.

F*ck this, I'm going to bed!

just checked, I played 13 tables and I only won 2 of them, that's only about 15% win rate when I'm usually sitting at 55-65% in the long run. Complete disaster!!! F*cking bullsh!t

Yeah...when luck go far away from us, just like that. I said win 3 days in a row around $33, but just now I lost 4 times in a row, lost like you got, AA lost go to 56 ( villain all in since start, I met him twice before), KJ hit J 3 10 at flop I shove lost to AK who got Q at river, so I stop. Intend to play at PS.

When lost 3 times in a row cause unlucky, please stop erru!
Good you intend to take a break. Good luck next

The rant is completely understandable, after a game with losses like that.
Maybe if you see that the whole thing goes downhill fast, to stop playing, taking a brek
and then continuing later, and if possible in another site.
Anyways, better luck in your next sessions.

And yet another complete f*cking bullsh!t day where I kept getting the middle fingre from the software as soon as the river was shown. I lost another $12 on ACR today which made my decision easy: F*CK ACR!!! I just made a withdrawal of my remaining $55 and I'm now gonna deposit those onto PartyPoker instead. Over there I'm more familiar with the competition, I know what to expect and I also have a bankroll that's big enough to handle a huge downswing. I will have about $140 by the time I make the deposit and I'm gonna check if there's possibly a deposit bonus to get as well. With this boosted bankroll, I'll be able to move up in stakes to the $1 games instead of those $0.25 ones. I'm figuring the competition isn't much harder at that level but the potential rewards are much higher. At the very least, I will have a few dollars that are earmarked for christmas presents, that is all above $100 when december comes.

On the plus side, I'm close to getting a stream/recording properly working. I'm not able to show myself on camera due to the nature of my work but I think my mic works good enough for me to speak at least. Not sure I will tho but in order to get anyone interested I guess I probably should? Not sure if I should bother to blur out my name, if it's even possible. I'm really not at a level where people study every single opponent they face, at least not enough to look through youtube videos of someone with a different name...

Hello,

I have been a silent reader (if any) for a long time, but in this thread I just had to reply.
I do like your ambitions, however they are far from reality (which pretty much is the main reason why I even bothered logging in).

You seem ambitious about all your poker related stuff, even at these stakes, this is great. However, poker is not as simple.
You say you have a $140 Roll when you move that ACR Roll to party and will have "at the least money over for christmas". With that kind of volume, don't be so sure about this. The swings (11BI that one post where you ranted?) will get to you over and over again, especially when you choose a swingy format like Jackpot SNGs. You can run breakeven for thousands of Games if you are unlucky with the multipliers (I am not joking), even if in chips won you are a highly profitable player. Your choice should either be stepping up your volume by A LOT (that includes playing 2000 of these games at the very least per month, but the more the better) or you should not expect ANY half steady profit in these games. If you can not put that volume in, there is no other variant for you to make " steady" profit. Either you have to put the time in (your child has priority though, poker comes after family, rightfully) then do not expect any money from poker. I am just saying how it is, and even if it sounds harsh or whatever, you have to increase the number of games drastically, otherwise you play more of a game of chance other than a game of skill.
If you say you have financial trouble, leave $50 in your Party Account and grind the 1s, but be prepared to lose it. Grinding out low volume 0.25s is pure waste of time, you can earn more money doing online surveys (again, harsh, but honest). Either grind the Nanos at super high volume or play them purely out of enjoyment, anything inbetween will be unsatisfying.
The idea someone posted "just grind jackpot SNGs and make $10 per day", sounds fantastic, but it's not gonna work. As a very good player at $1 Games, lets say 15% ROI, you make $0.15 per game on average, but that doesn't even take into account the (huge) variance because of the multipliers. Grinding 1000 of these games without any profit is not as rare as you guys think, even for someone crushing their game. You saying your ITM is " between 55-65%" already shows you have a very low sample, because it makes an enormous difference (though even 55% is not attainable in jackpot SNGs... If you attain 40% you are already a crusher at $1 Games, however, again, only with a sample of no less than 1K Games or more).

Sorry if my post seems harsh, I see a lot of good ambitions in this thread, but just a lot is far from any poker-reality.

Best regards to all Mobsters.

Sad hearing you got bad result last 2 session. But I regret why you let lost so much, my opinion lost 3 times in a row or $6 cause unlucky ( or got 'bad beat' ) should be stop. Hopefully you will get good result at PP. Good luck.

Absolutely you right BeMyATMplz, I will not grinder at other site play jackpot or spin n go or something like that. But I think at ACR little bit different , min buy in is $2 and often hit $8 and $12 prize pool, and opp softer than other site, so $10 profit make sense. Couldn't play everyday of course. Impossible if we hope win everyday. And get downswing always happen , so we have to carefully.

And how is your poker ? still play ?

Hello and thanks for your post. I really agree with you on this, that's why I'm not looking for a steady income, it's more like a one-a-year cashout Strategy, that being around christmas. Due to the lack of time I have, I needed to pick a game where I could put in as much volume as possible. Over at Party I do have a bankroll that's big enough to handle downswings.

With that being said, I feel that I have to point out that if I were to lose so I get below $100, I will simply not cashout anything. The only rule I have is that anything above $100 will be cashed out. Who knows, maybe next year I cash out above $1000.

Jackpots are indeed very swingy, that's why I need a bankroll that can handle it. But I do feel that I have an edge on my opponents since when I do put all of my chips in, I'm ahead about 75% of the times. That tells me I'm not doing anything wrong, I just happen to be in this downswing where my hands never hold. But mathematically, in the long run I'll be fine. It's all a question of volume and since I don't have the time to put enough in every month, I'll just have to settle for a yearly plan at the moment.

About the amount I earn, I do some freelancing and other online activities as well that earn me around $100-200 monthly, poker is more like a hobby with the potential to get a little bit extra in my wallet, I don't aim for, nor do I want to, make a living out of it.

So to sum it up:
Due to lack of time, Jackpots are where I can put most volume in.
I do have an edge on most of my opponents so I'll be profitable long run.
I have a yearly plan, so not looking for a steady income.
My bankroll is big enough to handle huge downswings.
Poker is just a hobby with potential to get christmas presents cheaper.

I think I answered all the parts of your message but if I missed something, feel free to tell me! Also, thank you for following my posts Smile

------------
Just had my first session of $1 games. I didn't put much volume in, only 10 games and I lost a total of $2. One hand on a $4 table determined the entire outcome of this session, AA vs J7, flop comes J7*, ofcourse. About 85% chance to win and I can't even get that hand to hold. Seems like my downswing is continuing over at Party as well, just not as bad.

I'm gonna keep a little bit more detailed stats since that's been requested before. Not optimal but at least it'll be better.

My progress on getting a recording working is slowly coming along, I've managed make it work properly, now it's just a matter of getting it to look decent as well, maybe with some interface or whatever. We'll see what I come up with, I'm expecting to make my first recording sometime this week.

It is true, that if you want to get serious with poker, you need to devote lots of time to it.
And if you have obligations, like work family etc, it is not easy at all to grind.
Still a bit more more than two months to go to hit your goal. Good luck again.

Did a break even session, good enough considdering how things have been going for me lately. I did some really really bad plays but overall I'm somewhat happy with how I was doing. Not sure if anyone managed to catch my stream but I think I had 3 viewers at the most. In any case, here are the stats.

If you break even, at the end is not bad, especially if you get like points from playing,
which later can you use to redeem it for cash, or tickets etc.
It s party poker we are talking about, so they must be having a reward program.
Better luck in your next games.

Man I just can't catch a break! I had some time over tonight so I decided to take a shot at 2 or 3 MTTs. I was close to cashing on all 3 but never managed to get there. To make things even worse, they were all Bounty MTTs and I couldn't catch a single bounty in any of the games!! The one where I had the best shot turned bad after facing 3 bad beats in a row and out I went. I lost $2.20 on this session, complete crap! I just can't have these results continuing, my bankroll is just shrinking slow and steady...

I'm really not sure what to do except keep on trying. I don't feel that a break is the solution here, I'm gonna get one wether I like it or not when I get back to work next week. I'm really not gonna play any more MTTs anyway, I'm so sick and tiered of playing for almost 3 hours and not get anything but a loss to show for it!
