The Brunson father-and-son tandem has launched an all-new online training course valued at $149. Of course, there are plenty of online poker courses available, but only a few of them have the impressive poker background that the Brunsons have. The price isn't as expensive as one would expect considering the caliber of the people behind it, and the great thing about this course is that players wil[...]   Read more » Doyle Brunson teams up with son Todd on New Poker Training Course

What Doyle Brunson will do with his true value now ( real knowledge )? This man retires from poker and i think his boy he knows a lot of poker strategy. When you sell a book about poker you can not just sell stories and no strategy. He is too old to use them, and you have something to learn.

Yeah, but his knowledge came from his own experience playing the game and not from courses/books/coaching session etc. See the difference?
This kind of knowledge cannot be passed, you have to learn it yourself.

There are some cases of some players who have become professionals after they have learned poker from professionals players. If you are a person who understands, you can learn poker with $ 149... If you are not a person who understands then you can learn poker yourself with succes or not. Smile

Eventually you could learn on multiples source. You can acumulate a lot of information, books, forums, open class, etc. But I think that you have to find a moment for sintethise these learning. You have to resume all that you understood and, perhaps, you will need a tutor for give you an objetive diagnostic abou your playing Blink

You can try to learn, and this thing it can take you a few good months. After that you will begin to put into practice what you have learned. There are plenty of good players who fight to earn nice money but not everyone will win because the fight is fierce. Winners and losers as in all competitions.

Step by step my friend CALICUL. I try to learn while I continue playing, and I try to put in practice little moves. For example, to be more agresive with broadways in some point of the game, or to make raise more frequently with pocket pair. Some little changes prove to be effective and they are consolidated in my game. Blink

Poker Texas Holdem has grown over the last decade and continues to attract new players in every day, but there are many players who have left this industry, due to disappointments. Because they did not learn strategy they abandoned this game. The strategy counts very much and you my friend learn to win. Smile

I tell you again my friend..step by step! I´m near to understand some moves and little tips. I started to see some weakness in my traditional moves and some matters about positions and bets. The strategies are a long term objetive. I´m happy seeing that I´m getting better to my playing and, slowly, winning more often Blink

I'm happy for you Maragatero my friend. If you are ambitious you can do something good for you. It is good that you can learn these things, in Spanish language to understand better. You have to learn but remember this thing: online poker needs to understand it better because is different. Here you get much faster cards that have to destroy other players or vice versa, because that's how they were setup by the system and in live poker is much harder to catch that. This is just one detail but you will see more. Good luck.

Thanks for your good wishes my dear friend CALICUL! I want it for you too... More than an ambitious, I think I have a goal. Having a goal or a project for these, all the path is illuminated. You know what you need to, so you know what looks for. Happen to me that I was reading the same articles that I did years ago, and I found there now things that I did not find at that time Smile

I look for information of Doyle B, and I have to say that I don´t know that he is a champion of the hall of fame and had a hard history in his life so, I beg your pardon. I only saw him in a tv show of poker playing against the kid Negreanu. He was playing like a rock (with all sense) and the comparison was really bad Disagree

Doyle Brunson are ten WSOP bracelets, Phil Hellmuth 15, Phil Ivey 10, Daniel Negreanu only 6 but they are players who have earned a lot of money in poker. Professional players who made history in the world of texas poker hold'em. I read about 20 players with WSOP bracelets and Doyle Brunson is respected by poker players because he was a source of inspiration for many players.

I not think that number of bracelet win makes anything, because in past time it is a lot easier to win bracelet and lot less numbers of players on wsop tournaments and poker just started playing many bad players, now it is very hard to ein bracelet

A good point there for the number of the players in the past.
It must have been easier back then to hit top positions.
At some point participation must have been quite higher, in the era when the online poker
skyrocketed.
But at the end it is the title that matters, regardless of the participation Smile

I find it is the same in many disciplines, sports being one example. I can remember forty years ago my local hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens, the top players would show up for training camp overweight and out of shape and they would be huffing and puffing for the first few games of the season. Now professional athletes tend to take better care of their bodies and train 12 months a year so that they can command better salaries and extend their playing careers, which adds up to several million dollars.

Poker information is much easier to come by these days, and the opportunity to play many hands from the comfort of your own home means you can bring your game up pretty quickly compared to many years ago when live play was the only thing available for poker players. Everybody at all levels and through all sports has brought up their level of involvement and intensity, and it makes it harder for everyone to advance to the next.

You must have adequate training to play live or online poker.
Doyle Brunson and his boy are trying to earn some extra money with these lessons offered for those who will buy them.
About other sports is something else now, compared with to many years ago
Televisions offer more money and needed more professionalism.
