We were chatting in another thread, where you gave me very good tips for my learning of poker. Now I found your return´s thread and here I could say that is a pleasure to meet partners like you, and I wish you keep helping the players that need it like me and could make the sharing that you want. Good luck! Smile

Hi maragatero, thank you for the nice words. This forum used to be about helping each other become better, as well we used to create funny and silly threads, I hope that has not changed. Check out this sample thread from years ago:

Good poker chat! Now I saw a few of that, but some of the mobers that were writing in there, they are writing now about it. I don´t know a lot of things about poker so I feel some shame to expose my doubts. I see a lot of members, here and outside, that chat about their worst bad beat, but I think that this don´t help anybody Confused

Hi guys! Maybe some of you remember me, lots of new members here too. After taking a three year break I have started playing again. Some things haven't changed: mobdraw guy is still a pr1ck and BRM didn't take my suggestion for new safe girl. Anyways, let me know you have been, or who you are, and good luck at the tables!

Heya mate!

I remember you for sure! Glad to see an old face (name).

I just came back myself, to have a look - check out any old-timers still around!

When I was super-active in the poker-scene, I was studying full-time (online) and working only part-time and so I had ample time to play poker (consider, since I studied online, my online actual study comittments were examinations at phyiscal locations 4 x a year, well - 4 exam periods, but 16 actual exams per year) - anyway, beyond the exams it was really just due-dates for assignments and if you're anything like me, they are started and completed on the same day (the one they're due on lol) - and the rest of the time (apart from the 3ish days a week working) were for poker!

Those online-study days gave me not only the time and freedom to play MTTs - and play them at Euro times (I'm Australian, so from Midnight - 6am was basically peak-EU) too. And really afforded me the time to use a DB (one of the popular HUDS at the time, forget its name) and analyse my game, my leaks - improve - get to know the regs etc. I played on a relatively small site (PKR) so at the highest MTT stakes, it was always 50% regs that you got to learn how they played.

Anyway, whilst never a super star, my overall MTT earnings were a tiny little bit of extra spending money during a usually economically tight period of life (University) - so I was very grateful for the game. More than that though - I used to have a B&M devastating gambling habit, it was really ruining my life. Poker got rid of that, it both A ) Gave me a far cheaper outlet for the impulse, even when I began and was *not* beating the game, at least - I wasn't beating the rake grr Aww crap! and B ) Once I was 'good' (relative lol) at the game, at least good enough to beat the soft MTTs on PKR lol - it not only 'cured' my bad gambling habit at local pokies venues and casinos, it eventually made the habit profitable.

Anyway - later I started working full time and poker became a rare thing. Anyway, more recently and towards the very end of my playing online, I started to get a really passion for the game again and was playing at least once a week (MTTs mind you, so once a week could be an entire day/night) - and then the dreaded Australian anti-gaming laws came into affect. after that I just dropped out completely.

Anyway, recent events haven't been wonderful for me, as of a month or so ago, I separated from my wife and that's still really fresh/raw, not to mention it's still a very on-going process, we need to sell our house, divide our assets, sort s**t out, you know - all kinds of crap that happens over a 10+ year de-facto relationship / marriage.

So that's been rough. Rougher still, my health has basically escaped me, I'm getting REALLY sick quite often, enough I had to drop from full time work, to part time, to now I just can't work at all. Had a hospital day-operation yesterday, investigative so I'm hoping for answers and a way through this.

But because I am married and despite the fact I am living on my brothers couch (and he is on disability pension) - because I'm not in my wife and I's home, it counts as an 'investment property' for me - so I'm means tested on that, plus because my wife works full-time and is still technically my wife until we wait 12 months and can legally divorce, her salary makes me not eligible for any welfare.

So right now, I am quite literally without ANY source of money at all, literally just a burden on both my (ex) wife and my brother. I'm trying to sort something out with our welfare agency, but t's slow going. And the longer it lasts, the more stressed EVERYONE effected is.

So yeah, s**t hasn't been great lately - and it's REALLY, REALLY made me miss playing poker. With the time on my hands and the stress in my brain, I would absolutely FUCKING LOVE to play a big $100 MTT right now on Stars. Failing that - I'm considering having a crack at one of the sites that operates on crypto-currencie(s)

Any recommendations for Australia-friendly Crypto-based Poker Sites?

Preferably with a MINIMUM traffic level of around 500-1000 people.

EDIT: If you're using an ad- blocker, certain words will be "missing" like Po..K..er
