Phil Ivey has traveled to Las Vegas and was seen in Bobby's Room at the Bellagio casino playing a few high-stakes cash games, based on Gus Hansen's Facebook posts.
The poker community speculated it is very likely that Ivey will participate in this year's WSOP, and even if he hasn't yet joined any bracelet events, this $2,000/$4,000 cash game will keep Ivey busy for just a few more days.
The cash game action seems very interesting that it prompted Hansen to ditch the $111,111 buy-in One Drop high roller tournament earlier this June, in which the event was won by Doug Polk.
With the looks of its juicy stakes in the comfort of Bobby's Room, there's a high possibility that Ivey and Hansen will choose to only play the WSOP Main Event this year.
Considered to be the true jewel of the Bellagio's crown is a unique salon where some of the highest stakes card games in the world are held, Bobby's Room (named in honor of the poker legend Bobby Baldwin who won four WSOP bracelets by 1979 and is the 1978 WSOP Champion).
In Bobby's Room, this is where poker pros such as Daniel Negreanu, Jen Harman and Doyle Brunson can be spotted as well as other high rollers from all over the world who come to push themselves to the limit in their poker play.
