Poker Player on Tilt calls Police at Colorado Poker Tournament but Gets Handcuffed Instead

This story is about law enforcement called to come to a poker tournament due to a complaint lodged by a poker player, but things turned awry instead for the one who called the cops.

The story was narrated by a poker player named William Givens, who won a bracelet in the 2014 WSOP $1,000 NLHE event for $306,634, his best live cash in his career by far. He was at the Golden Gates Casino in Blackhawk, Colorado on Monday, August 19, when he witnessed this somewhat normal scenario that ended up pretty strange yet funny.

Givens said a woman opened the betting in a hand, got raised and then called. After checking the flop, she tanked next when her male opponent made a bet. After 10 seconds of thinking, the man said he would show his hand if she showed hers.

It started as a kind of harmless trash talking at the table, but the woman suddenly responded that she would rather show him her ‘lady parts' prior to mucking her cards.

Givens then wrote that the exchange escalated, as the woman told the man her sensual offer was the closest he'll ever get to a woman, to which he responded to by commenting on her appearance that conveyed a hint of disgust. The woman felt insulted as Givens said, "she went nuts!"

Two hours later, the woman busted out of the tournament but then for some unknown reason, demanded to get a refund.

Most likely her demand for a refund got a resounding "no" from the management, so the woman called the police and wanted to press charges, perhaps on her opponent or the management, or both.

A few moments later, the cops arrived. The woman thought she got the upper hand! But as it turned out, she herself had outstanding warrants. Instead of getting the refund she thought she deserved and having someone get punished to her satisfaction, she was handcuffed and escorted out of the premises.

It has not been mentioned what were her outstanding warrants are - could be just minor misdemeanors or maybe even more serious charges. She either may have forgotten about them if they happened a long time ago or she was simply a fool to think that by calling the police on something or somebody else, she herself would not be apprehended. A lot of people think it is the latter.

Of course, this doesn't excuse the fact that the man she clashed cards with on the table has said some pretty awful things to her and that made her angry enough to call on the cops. However, most people think it sure is funny to see a person get their comeuppance for their arrogant behavior.

Lesson to learn here: If you have outstanding warrants, it's best to avoid calling police unless your life is in great danger.

It's a confusing situation here because we don't have it statements from these people. I am referring here to the woman who called the police and the man who insulted her. Sometimes you get the impression that you saw something suspicious and you start to act like this woman.

It seems to me that this is a rather funny story if this woman didn’t like something, first of all, she had to think if she had any problems with the police before calling the police, but it seems to me that women think with emotions and in the end she got exactly that which deserves a wonderful story.

From the weird and funny stories one can read.
And from the ones happening in the poker world Smile
A night of poker ended going to jail.
Why on earth when you are wanted by the police, you are calling them?
You are staying as far as possible from them Smile
Lesson learned i guess...

It seems to me that in this case, in the first place there were emotions and perhaps not a very sober state of the body .... As a result, everything turned out in such a way that the person did not think at all that he might have a problem and hoped that they would not pay attention to him. ... pay attention to the problem with which he addressed ..... did not work ha ha ha

I love this story for many reasons. Firstly, the comments from the gentleman which were unwelcome by the lady came after she allegedly sexualised the “showing of cards” situation. I am sure many people will suggest that this was like banter to start with....however it degenerated.... apparently on both sides. For what whatever reason the lady called the cops it then becomes an issue for them to determine whether any misdemeanour has taken place that they should engage in. (Was there any threat or risk of harm to anyone taking place or likely to?). Whatever they came up with, they decided that the imperative was to take the lady away for her previous misdemeanours. Another challenging day in a cops life. The moral of the story is...... be polite and Curteous to everyone. Even when you are losing at poker.

a woman is more emotional than a man ... and if it seems to them that they are disrespectful, they begin to do inappropriate actions that this woman clearly demonstrated .... forgot about all her troubles, she focused the attention of the police on a problem which was not .... and eventually received a well-deserved punishment .... a wonderful story ... Maybe she will teach her something Confused

Well, this kind of problem looks a lot sometimes, but before anything else it would have to do well, what happened before doing anything ... because not because of what 1 woman says, it has to be always like that hahaha but well I hope it could be solved in a correct way all this problem and that there peace hahaha Cool Cool Cool
